About Together We Grow Kids Tutoring
Together We Grow Kids Tutoring provides personalized reading, writing, and English literacy tutoring for children and teens in Markham and Richmond Hill. I support students who may be struggling with phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, essays, and written expression through patient, one-on-one instruction designed to build both skills and confidence.
I’m passionate about helping students feel confident in their reading and writing abilities. Many children and teens I work with are bright and capable but may need extra support, time, or a different approach to make learning click. My goal is to meet each student where they are and provide individualized instruction that helps them grow at their own pace.
Meet Your Tutor
Hi, I’m Jazmin - the tutor behind Together We Grow Kids Tutoring.
I started Together We Grow Kids Tutoring after supplying in busy, overcrowded classrooms and seeing firsthand how many capable students can get lost in the school system or struggle to receive the individualized support they need. I realized how powerful one-on-one instruction can be in helping children feel seen, supported, and confident in their abilities.

My Approach
My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and focused on building strong foundational literacy skills. I prioritize clarity, consistency, and individualized support so students can strengthen their reading and writing abilities step by step.
• Phonics and sound-letter connections
• Reading fluency & comprehension strategies
• Spelling patterns & word study
• Sentence & paragraph writing
• Essay planning & organization
• Editing & revising written work
• Study skills and exam preparation
Whole-Child Support
I recognize that learning is influenced by more than academics alone. When I notice attention, organization, or regulation challenges, I may suggest simple strategies or tools to support focus and engagement, such as movement breaks, fidget supports, or organizational techniques.
I also provide bi-weekly check-ins and ongoing communication with families when appropriate. This allows me to share progress, note areas of growth, and suggest simple strategies or resources that can support learning outside of sessions. When helpful, I aim to align support with classroom goals and accommodations.
